Olympic Dreams and Rising Momentum Take Centre Stage at the Rally28 Launch  

“Never before has the squash community come together as much as it has through Rally28.” 

During the British Open 2026, Rally28 brought together key players from across the squash world at their launch event! 

Rally28 is a global campaign to unite the squash community ahead of its Olympic debut and transform that Olympic opportunity into lasting change – ensuring that the sport leaves something meaningful behind when the LA limelight fades. 

Exploring the theme “Challenges and Opportunities: The Olympic Journey” —  the session reflected on where we are today, where we are headed, and officially launched of Rally 28. 

Attendees heard exclusive insights from Mark Williams (CEO – England Squash), Zena Woolridge (President – World Squash), Tanya Stentz (Squash United Foundation) as they shared the vision for supporting and funding the future of squash over the next two years on the road to the Olympics. The panel was moderated by Rowena Samarasinhe, Senior Advisor at the PSA Squash Tour.

Guests also heard from PSA World Number 10 Jonah Bryant, who is working towards being a part of the GB Olympic team for LA28. 

The session gave a key opportunity to learn how everyone in the squash community can play a meaningful role in shaping the sport’s future and make a lasting impact ahead of the Olympic Games.  

Adriana Olaya, Head of the Squash United Foundation, said, 

“Rally28 is monumental for squash, it brings every voice from the squash world together and will be fundamental in the growth of our sport, from the grassroots upwards.” 

“In the coming months grants will be available to support and develop; grassroots programmes, facility enhancement, Squash For Development Organisations, infrastructure projects, public facilities, community programmes and much more. 

“Todays launch really showcased how the squash community can rally behind our sport, this is not just an Olympic opportunity, but an opportunity for the sport to leave a legacy for all” 

Exciting next steps were also highlighted, such as our Rally28 grants and our Rally28 Makers initiative, both coming out in July 2026. 

Rally28 grants will grants will be available to support and develop; grassroots programmes, facility enhancement, Squash For Development Organisations, infrastructure projects, public facilities, community programmes and much more. 

Rally28 Makers will help to drive the sport at a community level, and are the local catalyst who translate that global ambition into real-world action, bringing the Rally28 spirit to their club, their community and their corner of the squash world.
