39,000 players participate in World’s Biggest Squash Match for World Squash Day

No matter your level, there’s a place on court for everyone.

This year’s World Squash Day brought the global squash community together for the world’s biggest squash match!

Over an action-packed 10 days, players of all ages and abilities from around the world joined forces for an exciting global team challenge to celebrate World Squash Day.

Whether PSA professionals, former legends or enthusiastic amateurs, every player was assigned to one of two teams: Team All-Stars or Team Superstars.

With 19,769 matches played by 38,792 players across the world, this year’s event – just over 1,000 shy of the record 40,000 who participated in 2012 – was a huge celebration of the global squash community, showcasing the incredible reach of our sport and the passion of the people who make it what it is.

Every match counted towards one global scoreboard, with Team Superstars crowned this year’s World Squash Day champions with 9,793 wins to Team All-Stars 9,759!

But the impact went beyond the court. This year’s World Squash Day also provided an opportunity to raise funds for squash clubs and Rally28, helping turn the excitement of the event into lasting impact for the sport.

Funds raised for Rally28 will support global grants focused on awareness and participation, squash facilities, and Squash for Development, helping create more opportunities for people to discover, play and benefit from squash around the world.

World Squash Day 2026 proved what is possible when the squash community comes together: one match, one club and one player at a time.

Adriana Olaya, Head of the Squash United Foundation, said

“We were thrilled to bring players from the grassroots upwards to be a part of this monumental event. Moments like this are key for the sport as we come together ahead of our exciting Olympic debut.”

“Squash is for everyone, and this team challenge showed that everyone can play a part in our sports growth. Funds raised for Rally28 will also be instrumental in ensuring that we leave a lasting legacy in our sport both in the run up to LA28 and beyond!”

Zena Wooldridge, President of World Squash, said

“World Squash Day has grown into a special and unique event in the sport’s global calendar, bringing together squash communities across the world to play squash for fun regardless of their level. It also celebrates the third anniversary of squash’s addition to the Olympic programme.

“To all participating players, clubs and communities across the world, thank you for joining in. It is your passion and love for the sport that helps bring the squash world together for this special celebration.

“No matter your level, there’s a place on court for everyone.”

Rally28 extends its thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s event!

Can we make it even bigger next year? Keep your eyes peeled for future World Squash Day updates!
